Have you ever sent a package to Dubai through your local postal service?

If yes, then you’ll be familiar with the ordeal.

And then there would be some of you who might be wondering, “What’s so agonizing about a simple package delivery?” while reading this piece.

One of the amazing facts about UAE is that there are no zip codes, postal code system, or even an organized address system in UAE. And for your package to reach safely at your destination you need to rely on the local people and pray that they know the area well. Otherwise, your package will not reach its desired destination.

Oh, and yes while we are discussing facts about UAE, let me share a few more facts about Dubai. If you’ve watched Tom Cruise involved in a car chase that too during a sandstorm, then don’t even think about doing that here. Even if you’re able to drive straight with the gusty winds whipping dust at your face, which I highly doubt you can, you can’t beat the local police. Why?

Well, for starters you cannot outspeed a Ferrari, Bentley or even Lamborghini. Yes, Dubai police actually own a fleet of these muscle cars. So, unless you are traveling at warp speed on Sheikh Zayed Road, it is best to give surrender yourself to the police if you’ve committed any traffic violation.

Some amazing Facts about UAE

If you see Camels on the road, don’t freak out

The culture history dates back to ancient times, right when camels were used as the only mode of transport. Camels are a huge part of the tradition and culture of UAE.

camel on the road- Facts about UAE

People own camels, drink camel milk, eat camel, and even use camels for entertainment. You will be amazed at how many events based on camel racing are held in UAE each year. If you’re planning to visit the UAE anytime soon, just keep in mind that you can run yourself into a camel if you don’t pay attention to the roads.

If you’re willing to start a business, now is the right time to Hit Dubai!

One of the facts about UAE for Entrepreneurs is that ‘time is everything’.

If you’re willing to develop a mobile application for yourself in six months, this will be equal to six months of doing nothing else or it means this gives your competitors six months to compete with you or pull them off from the competition.

start today - Facts about UAE

Ideally, you need to build the mobile app as soon as possible or release the beta version first and iterate the app for few more months. You cannot wait for things to happen. You have to go there and make them happen as soon as you can.

Brace yourselves for not one, but multiple Grand duchess

Unlike Europe or Japan, UAE has more than one royal family. Each state of the UAE is governed by a different royal family.

The most famous UAE royal family is of Abu Dhabi – the Al Nahyan and Al Maktoum family who rules Dubai.

Rulers of the United Arab Emirates are quite strict on their customs and values. Although the royal families stay away from the general public, recently Dubai royal family mingled with common people.

royal family - Facts about UAE

More than 80% of the entire population in UAE is expat community

Out of 9.54 million people, more than 5.7 million people are immigrants, which makes up to 90% of the total population. These expect to move to the UAE for fashion, business, and for Entrepreneurship. With various places to visit in Sharjah & 12-hour shopping marathon, Dubai makes it a popular shopping destination and one the most diversified cultural places across the world.

Not everything that glitters is gold

Most of the people who visit Dubai measure it by the glitzy malls and the gold souqs. This often gives the perception that everyone in Dubai is rich.

That is not the case.

Normally these materialistic things are owned by the local Emiratis and they treat it as part of the culture and the oil boom in the country.

However, there is an abundance of opportunity for the people who come to start their own business. Hundreds of thousands of people from the Indian Subcontinent and the Far East have traveled to this modern oasis of ravishing business opportunities. Like everywhere else, startups have to struggles. But with hard work and consistency, everything can be achieved.

UAE gained its independence without facing any violence

Apart from other interesting facts about UAE, another one is that the UAE came into existence without facing any violence.

It dates back to the year 1971 when the Great Britain who ruled the region gave up the independence with peace agreements. While other countries who were under the influence of Great Britain had to fight for their independence.

One of the main reason behind the agreements being peaceful is due to the fact that UAE discovered oil in their region which gave them an advantage over Great Britain.

On a final note

The UAE is a versatile country teeming with opportunities for everyone who wants to make it big. There are tons of facts about the UAE which will have to wait for my next blog. If you’ve enjoyed these facts about the UAE or you know any history about UAE feels free to share it in the comments section.

Have you ever watched an advert that ended-up begging you to ‘Like them on Facebook’ or ‘follow them on Twitter’? Did you seriously go for it? I bet not. Why? Because there was no strategy or incentive behind that seemingly frantic and desperate calls-to-action.

Welcome to the most disoriented era of technology. Here, you are bombarded with a gazillion adverts every day and each goes all out for a speck of your attention but fails to do so. Have you ever asked yourself why is it that only some ads manage to keep you riveted until the end while others make you scramble to scroll down before they even make their opening notes?

There is a subtle science behind all of this. If ‘Like us on Facebook’ is not used with a planned strategy or incentive, it will never be able to coax anyone into acting.

Here are some of the best examples which offer more than just ‘Like us on Facebook’ incentives. They probe users to take action. To find the page on Facebook and like it on their own. To follow them on Twitter on their own whim, and to even subscribe to their YouTube channel just because the message resonated deeply with them. Because they actually want to!

Vanish Tip Exchange – Social Media Integration

If you’ve seen the TVC, I am pretty sure you can relate to this. If not, I suggest you go back, watch the Vanish tip exchange TVC and then come back here to glean a better comprehension of what they did right. Right from the very first second, the intention of the product dawns on you. It is a stain removal product. But what made the product viral was the social media integration that the brand leveraged to engage their users.

It works like this. If you have a stain removal tip, share it on their page, or if you need any sort of tip, you can connect with cleaning gurus from around the world and garner their two cents. You can also subscribe to their YouTube channel and get a free tip every day.

We can excite your customers to buy from you? We take Social Media Marketing to a brand new level

This example is an epitome of how you can integrate social media in your marketing efforts to solicit the attention of people and do more than just get people to like you. The promotion is clear, and easily identifiable across myriad social media channels, which makes it so effective.

#DancePoneyDance horse moonwalking – YouTube sensation

Who says you need a million dollar to go viral on YouTube?

Check out this #DancePoneyDance horse moonwalking video.

This simple video generated over a million hits on YouTube.

Why?

#DancePoneyDance was able to generate 30 million impressions on Facebook and over 4 million impressions on Twitter. The hashtag #DancePoneyDance was an instant success and trended for three straight days. Furthermore, people were given the liberty to create and share their own pony dance with other people.

Isn’t this a genius way to engage your audience? I bet creating such hard-to-resist content gains more attention than imploring people to simply ‘Like you on Facebook’.

#bemoredog – Beat the competition with brilliance

In the year 2013, O2 faced a formidable competition. The rivals EE network launched a 4G campaign which offered much more affordable rates.

To counter this problem, O2 designed a ‘be more’ campaign. The concept of the ad was pretty basic and simple. A cat was captured caught up in the drudgery of daily activities, such as watching tv and playing in the pool. But in the end, it got bored. This was meant for people to relate to their everyday exasperation that they experience while using a 4G network. The ad ended on the cat dreaming of becoming a dog, which gave rise to the #bemoredog hashtag.

The idea was very well taken by people online. People started posting with the hashtag on how they are going to ‘be more dog’. There is also a YouTube channel where people are given the option to share their videos with O2.

“Like us on Facebook” Doesn’t cut the Bill. What to do instead?

  • Start a campaign, a YouTube video, a hashtag with an objective. What is the one thing that you want to achieve? Is it driving sales on your website? Getting traffic? Or just creating an awareness of your brand?
  • What are your goals? To increase followers, likes, or to get brand mentions? Ensure that you know exactly what you want from your advert before you create it.
  • Keep everything simple. For instance, if you want people to take part in the online competition, make sure that the idea is workable on all social media channels. Give space for people to participate from any social media platform. The end goal should be to drive traffic to your website.
  • Just as mentioned in the above examples, try to figure out ways in which you can drive traffic and engagement on your brand. You can use games, competitions, giveaways, make use of user-generated content, or start answering specific questions that relate to your niche to be seen as experts in your industry.
  • Offer incentives to your audience to gain their attention. Make your prizes and giveaways brand-specific and see if you can try to do cross-promotion for your other brands.
  • Stay current and relevant to your audience. It is not always wise to copy paste everything. You need to add your own touch to everything you do, so people can relate it back to your brand.

While some digital marketing agencies are helping brands with their digital marketing, there is still a lot of room to innovate and create memorable adverts along with experiences that will be talked about and remembered for generations to come.

What is the inspiration behind the most famous car brand logos? For some people, logos are just graphical symbols, but for those who understand the power of graphic design these are not just car brand logos, they highlight the personality of the brand and the values the brand holds.

Good car brand logos convey prestige, power, reliability, and trust among the customers. There are some interesting stories behind famous car brand logos. And we are about to unleash those stories.

  1. Audi

A German word “Horch” means to “listen” and in the Latin language, it becomes “audi”. Designed in the year 1932 the logo consists of four rings and each one represents four individual companies that combined together to create Audi’s predecessor company. “Vorsprung durch Technik” is the company slogan which means “Advancement through Technology”.

2) BMW

The original logo was designed in-house at Bayerische Motoren Werke back in the year 1927. When the logo was released people assumed that it is merely a spinning aircraft propeller. As years pass by, there were refinements in the logo. The color and the shape was part of the refinement process. The typeface changed to Sans Serif in the version of the logo which was released in the year 2000.

Tell us what you need. We will get your logo designed.

The symbol of the logo is inspired by Rapp Motorenwerke – an aircraft engine producer in Germany and the colors in the logo were polished with time. The current colors are the representation of the Bavarian flag.

3) Ford

The myth goes like the script in the logo is the writing of Henry Ford himself. Sorry to burst your reality, but it is not. The writing is actually of Childe Harold Wills – a chief engineer and designer at that time. The oval shape in the logo is the creation of British entrepreneurs Schreiber, Thornton, and Perry who decided to highlight the company reliability and economy with the oval-shaped logo.

4) Mercedes-Benz

One of the most highly recognizable logos around the globe. The three-pointed star is designed by Gottlieb Daimler representing the vision of Mercedes-Benz to fill the sea, air, and land with their modes of transport. The star logo first appeared in the year 1909. The new logo with laurel wreath symbol was introduced by Karl Benz along with its name. And the plane ring was embedded in the year 1937.

5) Mitsubishi

The logo was designed in 1870 by Yataro Iwasaki. ‘Mitsubishi’ is basically a combination of two terms. ‘Mitsu’ is for three, and ‘hishi’ means water chestnut. In the Japanese language, the word ‘hishi’ is used to denote diamond shape. In the speech, the Japanese often bend ‘h’ to sound like ‘b’ when it appears in the middle of a word. So, when the word is pronounced the combination of ‘mitsu’ & ‘hishi’ appears as ‘mitsubishi’.

The mark in the middle of the three-leaf denotes the crest of Tosa Clan, Yataro’s first employer, and also the family crest of the Iwasaki stacked rhombuses.

6) Volkswagen

The current logo is simply the representation of initials of the people who created it. “Volks” is actually for people and “Wagen” is for the car. There were some modifications in the logo between the years 1996 – 2000. While some people credit Franz Xaver Reimspeiss – a Porsche employee to be the creator of the iconic logo, while others believe that the credit goes to Martin Freyer who came up with the design & consequently won several back to back design competition.

The Volkswagen logo comprises of a combination of “V” which is placed over “W” and both the letters are stacked wonderfully to give an artistic look. The letters are surrounded by a circle of the same length, and a perfect amount of “air” is left to highlight the clarity and effectiveness that the company holds for its products. The slogan “Das Auto.” Which means “the car” is placed under the emblem.

7) Lexus

The Italian designer Dzhordzhetto Dzhudzharo who created the first model of Lexus– the sedan LS400 advised the first logo. He rejected the first original variant which was the emblem in the form of shield.

Outstanding branding with spectacular people.

Finally, the symbol that was accepted was “L” placed dynamically curved in an oval as a symbol of luxury not requiring any demonstrativeness.

Customer relationship management is not everybody’s cup of tea. Unless you’re Amazon or Apple who generously showers all their affections and energy on customer service, you need to take your game up a notch.

Here is how a typical customer service conversation goes:

Customer Support agent: “General Motors Helpline, how can I help you?”

Customer: “My car ran fine for a week, and now it won’t go anywhere!”

Customer Support agent: “Is the gas tank empty?”

Customer: “Huh? How do I know?”

Customer Support agent: “There’s a little gauge on the front panel, with a needle, and markings from ‘E’ to ‘F.’ where is the needle pointing?”

Customer: “It’s pointing to ‘E.’ what does that mean?”

Customer Support agent: “It means that you have to visit a gasoline vendor, and purchase some more gasoline. You can install it yourself, or pay the vendor to install it for you.”

Customer: “What!? I paid $$12,000 for this car! Now you tell me that I have to keep buying more components? I want a car that comes with everything built in!”

Tim Ferriss, in his best-selling book, “The 4-Hour Workweek”, shares this valuable insight:

Only 20% of your customers generate about 80% of the business…

If you read any book on customer service, you’ll only come across two types of customers. First, those who are happy with your service. And second, those customers who are not happy with your service. But Tim Ferriss talks about the third kind of customers: he labels them as energy drainers.

These type of customers take a lot of your time but add very little value to your business. With these type of customers, what you can do is fire them. Yes, you read it right: fire your energy draining customers like a boss. For the rest of your customers, here are some tips which can help you deal with your customer relationship management issues:

1) The miraculous power of saying thank you

Not everyone will appreciate the good that you do, even the words that you use for them. But as a company, you need to carry a brand personality with you. Maybe you might not consider saying thank you or even sorry a big thing, but customers really care about how you make them feel.

These two phrases carry an immense amount of power. Saying thank you or even apologizing to your customers will go a long way towards helping you establish a bond with your customers. Portraying emotions sends a message to your customers that you’re also human. Akin to people, brands too can make mistakes. But what separates ordinary brands from successful ones, is the level of transparency they show towards their customers.

So what if you have messed-up or did an excellent job of delighting your customers. You’re allowed to bask in appreciations showered your way or say an occasional sorry to your customers when the need arises.

Of course, you need to ensure that the phrase comes straight from your heart. Whatever you feel, you need to communicate to your customer without upsetting them. This is the core of Customer Relationship management.

2) Sell from the heart, not from words

I’m a huge fan of selling without selling. I have a habit of networking with people in a unique way. Instead of just asking open-ended random questions in a conference, I ask what problems people are facing in their business and go out there to solve them.

Selling from the heart entails establishing a bond before you pitch your product. Instead, you just ask them for their problem and you provide them a solution in the form of your brand.

There is no clear-cut way to connect with your customers on a deep level, but what you can do is to listen to your customers. Even if you don’t have any idea of what your customers want, you can always listen to them. Because sometimes customers are not looking for someone, something, or someone to blame, they just need someone to listen to. Customer Relationship management is more about listening, connecting, to your customers and less about just making the sales.

After you’ve made them feel good about themselves, you’ll be able to sell them anything and they will be happy to buy from you.

3) Instead of features, talk about benefits

When I started my first business, I was over the moon. I used to speak at conferences and attend seminars and talked up the features of my products. For sometimes, this approach worked like a charm. But, then one-day, reality dawn on me. I was making a lot of noise but was unable to create an impact. Instead of selling the features, I started selling their benefits.

Apple on Customer Relationship management

When Apple launched iPod, they didn’t mention any feature. Instead, they were selling the benefits.

When everyone was busy vying for the store war, Apple ventured forward to grasp what customers wanted. How many songs can this hold? And answered the question with their marketing campaigns.

Let us take another example.

Take a look at this screenshot from Freckle:

Freckle on Customer Relationship management

They are selling software but they haven’t mentioned the word ‘software’ on their website. But, still, they have managed to win over their customers and make some good money by selling the benefits of their product.

This doesn’t mean that features don’t matter. They do. But in the current high-tech economy where customers are well-informed, you need to give them what they really want. You have to fulfill their needs for your product.

4) Be flexible & friendly

“Remain flexible and teachable so that you can make necessary adjustments in life.” ~Mz Liz

You don’t need to force customers to subscribe to your newsletter.

If you’re not able to sell something to the customer on the first go, it is perfectly understandable. When Zappos was starting out, they worked hard on customer service. But as they say, you cannot make everyone happy. Don Power – one of the customers wanted to have some fun with the company. So, instead of shoes, he asked the customer service agent to send him a Pizza.

What was supposed to be a prank turned out to be a huge business opportunity? The very next day there was a parcel from Zappos and guess what was in it? This is how Zappos handles its customers. A clear example of Customer Relationship management.

If you want to create a memorable experience for your customer, you need to be friendly & stay flexible. No matter how angry your customers get, if you can find a business opportunity with your conversation, make sure that you avail the chance to make the sale.

5) Get to the point

There is no need to take much time to your customers.

The world is moving so fast, that if you miss the opportunity to grab the attention of your customer, your potential customer will surely turn that opportunity and leverage it to their advantage. With this attention-deficit generation, people don’t have time to read long paragraphs and make something out of it. Just give them what they want in a few bullets.

what is your point

To wrap it all up

If there is one thing that you can do to increase your sales, it is improving your customer service. Despite the size of the brand, you’re expected to treat customers with respect and offer a solution to their problems. Customer Relationship management is a serious business. You need to work hard and do things that make your customer happy.

I have used these tips to 10X my sales. If you’re serious about getting some business for your brand, I suggest you follow along as well.

One of the most popular applications of IoT is most affordable smart homes. From the Amazon Echo to the Nest Thermostat, there are hundreds of products on the market that users can control with their voices to make their lives more connected than ever.

Wearables:

Checking out time in your watch is old school, Apple launched the smartwatch which will blow your mind away. Now you can take phone calls, take pictures, reply to messages just with your watch.

Smart Cities:

With IoT, it is possible to transform the entire cities and solve the problem of citizens that face each day. With the proper connections and data, the Internet of Things can solve traffic congestion issues and reduce noise, crime, and pollution.

Connected Car:

These vehicles are equipped with Internet access and can share that access with others, just like connecting to a wireless network in a home or office. More vehicles are starting to come equipped with this functionality, so prepare to see more apps included in future cars.

How will the Internet of Data impact you?

The modern rule of the internet is, “Anything that can be connected will be connected.” But why in the name of the world there are so many devices connected to each other?

The biggest advantage you will have enhanced productivity. For instance, you are getting late for an important meeting, so your car will suggest the best possible route to your work.

How will it feel to wake up at 6 am and your Coffeemaker gets automatically notified to Brew Coffee for you?

What if your office equipment knew when it was running low on supplies and automatically re-ordered more? What if the wearable device you used in the workplace could tell you when and where you were most active and productive and shared that information with other devices that you used while working?

On a broader scale, the IoT can be applied to things like transportation networks: “smart cities” which can help us reduce waste and improve efficiency for things such as energy use; this helping us understand and improve how we work and live. Look at the visual below to see what something like that can look like.

To wrap it all up

Conversations about the IoT are (and have been for several years) taking place all over the world as we seek to understand how this will impact our lives. We as a web design company is also trying to understand what the many opportunities and challenges are going to be as more and more devices start to join the IoT. For now, the best thing that we can do is educate ourselves about what the IoT is and the potential impacts that can be seen on how we work and live.

With an enormous 1.65 billion monthly active users, Facebook remains the widely-used social media among all age groups. In fact, everyone has a Facebook account and we all use it – excessively.

The Facebook algorithms can figure out what any one of those users sees in their News Feed when they spend their time on Facebook. Luckily, in the last few years Facebook has started explaining us more and more about the News Feed algorithm – how it works, what it prefers, what it hates, and what matters for business pages.

This makes simpler for many brands to improve their organic reach on Facebook. Let’s find out some tricky and smart ways to boost your Facebook organic reach, what type of content the Facebook algorithm favors and what brands can do to increase their chances of displaying in their target audience’s News Feed.

Tips to Increase Your Facebook Organic Reach

Never Compromise on Quality

Facebook algorithm focuses on quality. Sharing quality and engaging posts is essential to not only increase your chances of being appeared in News Feed, but having your content displayed higher in users’ feeds. Follow these best tips to maintain quality.

  • Try to create and share quality and engaging content
  • Try to share valuable guide, tools, tips, infographics, DIY and FYI blogs and other type of quality content that your users will want to read.
  • Share valuable posts that is relevant to your industry and that educate and inform your users
  • Share videos that are interactive and make sense for your niche.

Avoid Spamming

Facebook hates spammy content, avoid it any cost, especially if you want to boost your

Facebook organic reach. Follow these best tips to avoid being spammy.

  • Avoid sharing content that has no value and doesn’t look reliable.
  • Avoid clickbaits tricks such as using exaggerated headlines but the post has no key information
  • Avoid sharing a post that has a lot of clicks
  • Avoid sharing posts that directly encourage users to like, comment and share.
  • While searching for content to share, carefully watch out the frequently shared content
  • Avoid spammy links such as content that include irrelevant images, inaccurate language or formatting just to entice people click through to a website that only contains ads.
  • Don’t share overly promotional posts that explicitly ask people to buy a product, or download an app, without providing any value to the user.

It is advised to follow the best practices offered by the Facebook itself to increase your Facebook organic reach.

Clickbait Best Practices

Share headlines that are catchy and inform readers

Share headlines that set the right expectations and the content has valuable insights and big data for users.

While curating content, share links that have accurate and compelling headlines.

Best Practices for Live Video

  • Inform people earlier when you are going to broadcast
  • Go live when you have a strong internet connection
  • Before going to live, create a compelling description to create a hype.
  • Ask your audience to follow you and receive notifications when you broadcast
  • Respond to each commentator by their name and reply their comments
  • Go live for longer to reach a wider audience
  • Come up with unique ideas and broadcast these ideas often

How Facebook Algorithm Works?

According to Facebook, the average user has access to more than 1,500 posts per day but out of which, he only looks at 300. If truth be told, the Facebook algorithm considers thousands of factors to determine which post should be among those 300 that get appeared in the user’s News Feed.

Keeping some important signals and factors in mind, Facebook curates an overwhelming amount of content into a manageable chunk for the individual user. This ranking algorithm was primarily known as EdgeRank.

The old Facebook News Feed ranking system considered three important elements:

Affinity – which shows the relevancy between the user, the content and its source.

Weight – which shows the type of action is taken on the content.

Time Decay – which shows how trendy the topic is and when it was posted.

The Facebook’s new News Feed algorithm also include these three items along with 100,000 other factors. Majority of these factors are based on user behavior and on their actions on a particular piece of content.

Facebook News Feed Core Values

Basically, Facebook has codified some things and named it set of core values which every social media marketing agency should take into account while adjusting algorithm for News Feed. Some important core values include:

Your Posts must be Informative

Create meaningful posts as people values informative and educational posts.

Your News Feed Should Entertain

People enjoy reading entertaining and funny posts. Sharing Live videos and funny photos are important to engage your users.

Share Every Type of Idea

Facebook News Feed algorithm favors all ideas and viewpoints and using ranking to connect people with the sources or stories users find the most engaging and meaningful.

Reliable Information

Facebook really works hard to understand the type of posts people consider authentic so that they can show more genuine posts to the users.

Constantly Improving

Facebook constantly tries to improve its processes and aiming to figure out what content matters most to the users.

What Factors Facebook Algorithm Considers Most

This video clearly explains the factors that Facebook News Feed ranking matters most. The algorithm takes these things into account:

  • The type of content
  • The timing
  • What engagement it gets

How You Can Control What Shows Off in Your News Feed

Since, Facebook algorithm considers thousands of factors when deciding what to show in a user’s News Feed, such as who posted the content and whether the user tends to engage with the post. Facebook offers some tools for users that allows them to get more control over what you see in the News Feed.

Users have the option to:

  • Choose friends and pages and give their content a high priority in their News Feed, so that you won’t miss their posts.
  • Find news pages through page suggestions based on user’s preferences.
  • Unfollow pages, people or group that have displayed in the News Feed in the past week.
  • See the list of all people and pages they have unfollowed and then follow back to get their updates.

So, these are some surefire ways to get your content visible on Facebook that will ultimately increase your organic reach. Follow them strictly and make the most of it.

Black Friday: A day that is considered as a shopping day where the customers are happy to buy goods by retailers which are defected, nearly expired, and sometimes even unwanted.

Now, as a customer, you get to buy products in discounted rate, and for retailers, they get to sell those products that are not actually doing any good with sales.

It is a win-win situation for both.

“Black Friday is like the hunger games. People will kill each other and the winner gets a $20 crockpot.” (@Topz7st)

However, as a digital design agency or a startup company you need to cash this opportunity to make the most of Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Of course, everyone knows what is Black Friday so I will not ponder on that. The aim of this blog post is to equip you with the most successful Social Media Campaigns Black Friday Cyber Monday deals that are out there.

Let’s start with some motivation. It is all about money. Not just money, lots and lots of money.

According to the stats, in the year 2016, Black Friday alone generated 3.6x more orders than the average number of orders in November. And of course, Cyber Monday was not left behind, a whopping 3.1x more orders were generated than the average November.

In another statistic, it Adobe concluded that Cyber Monday single day sales are around $3.39 billion which is 10% increase over a period of one year.

Start with the basics

Before you shoot your first email or even create your first Black Friday Cyber Monday Facebook ad, you need to ponder on few things to cut yourself from the holiday noise:

Start with Smooth shipping:

Time is an expensive gift. When asked in a survey what is the cause of not completing the order, more than 86% of the people labeled as shopping cart abandonment. Which is why you need to make the shopping cart as simple & smooth as possible. More than 50% of the shoppers preferred one-day shipping as their reason to shop from the same store.

Embrace yourself for mobile buyers:

More and more people are moving towards mobile shopping. The smartphones have more than 83% of BFCM traffic. There is a huge opportunity out there if you want to make the best of Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals.

Looking for award winning websites? Your search ends here!

The right social platform:

Always choose the platform where your consumers are already present. Do not experiment with new platforms. Just focus on 1-2 social networks and put all your energy into them. No need to be everywhere, but you need to be where your potential customers are.

Execute early:

You cannot afford to campaigns at the last moment, you need to plan things in advance. What is your success metric? What is your target audience and are you getting there?

1. Discount Deals & Offers

Ha ha ha. I know what are you thinking? How creative. But don’t worry, will be sharing some successful ideas by top sellers who just got it right.

You can simply start by tweeting your top deals.

Just like Amazon did:

Chubbies did something similar for their take on Cyber Monday, known as Thighber Monday and in that they offered a free gift on the purchase after every hour for the whole straight 12 hours.

2. Going Anti-Black Friday or Cyber Monday

In Made to Stick by Chip and Dan they introduced the acronym Success where ‘U’ is for Unexpected. Anything that is unexpected touches the customer.

When going for social media marketing, why not try something totally opposite. Like anti-Black Friday. Well, this is what REI – an outdoor clothing gear company did and got a lot of attention.

Their Twitter campaign got massive attention.

Holding true to their brand promise, REI encouraged the customers to go outside and enjoy the nature.

In the year 2015, 1.4 million people participated in the #OptOut campaign. By 2016 REI had partnered with 275 local and national organizations to spread their message.

3. Go live with Facebook Live

How about taking your event live? According to Facebook, live videos have 3x more engagement than normal videos.

Users comment on live videos more than 10x on normal videos.

One cannot deny the fact that the level of engagement and interest a live video generates. With Facebook live you don’t have that much of competition out there.

Check out a post by MeUndies which outsmarted all the other competitors by their Facebook live event.

Who would invite their friends to an event like this?

13,000 tuned in.

And the cool part was, attendees, converted 25% more than usual purchase.

4. Make Them Laugh

Although this sounds more like a tip, humor has some serious conversion power. If you make people laugh, they will be happy to take out their wallets to give you some dollars.

Humor has magical powers. It makes us buy anything we don’t even want. But due to the fact how it was marketed, customers raise their wallets to take out money to buy products which they don’t need.

Humor put the customers in a good mood. Humor lowers the trusted guard and helps in building a solid emotional connection with the brand.

Here is how Amazon used humor to gain attention:

Whooping 1.1K comments. And for the engagement part:

Even Denny’s went viral with this tweet:

To conclude it all

You can always go beyond hashtag or tweeting. Use Facebook to run creative ads. Go live on YouTube

Remember, you don’t need a huge team to create a lasting impact. You just need that one big idea to hit the right target market to create the hype you need.

Of course, there are tons of other ways by which you can be more creative with your social media campaigns.

The idea is to come up with something that is sticky enough to make it sharable.

Are you upset with your branding? Here is your chance to get it done right.

The post How ‘insiders’ at Facebook & Instagram make $$$ via illegal Account Verification appeared first on Branex Official Blog.

]]>
So basically, just like in real life, there are two ways to get verified on Facebook or Instagram.

The first method is the authentic one, the one that is given by the officials.

You can check how to get your page verified on Facebook? Or How to get yourself verified on Instagram?

The above methods are the ones suggested by the social media platforms themselves. But then there are those people who can take you to the easy route and get your account verified. The only condition is that you need to pay a little to get yourself verified.

Isn’t that illegal you may ask?

Well to answer that let us look at one of the tweets from Twitter:

“I mean if Mashable wants to pay for it, I can get you a blue check over night,”

How does the verification work?

There is a guy who knows some guy (the middle man of Instagram verification). Now with this method, there is no restriction of age or popularity. Whether you are a fresh drop out from college or you’re a marketer that is willing to leave an impression on their clients, you can get your account verified just with a price tag.

What is the price tag? The fee to verify your account varies from a branded energy drink to around $10,000, which depends upon a number of sources that are in the process or the direct purchase from the middleman.

For the Facebook price tag, a bit low. Maximum value to verify a page is around $2,000.

This benefit both the middleman and the user. To a middleman. Selling one to two verified accounts a month is sufficient for their whole month.

The sold service is not a good or a service that is sold separately on the internet. It can only be purchased via links and middleman.

Oh and yes Instagram is aware of this. As mentioned in their terms:

“You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account and you agree you will not sell, transfer, license or assign your account, followers, username, or any account rights,”

What are the benefits of verified account on Facebook/Instagram?

The blue tick account is mainly a status symbol. It gives credibility to your account. Gives prime spot on search results pages and your influence reaches up to 700 million monthly active users.

On the grand scale, Instagram knows and supports this black market well. While anyone can apply for the account via the links mentioned above. The only problem is that the normal process takes so much time, so people go for this underground black-market tactic to get themselves verified.

Related Read: How to Write Instagram Captions That Drive Sales?

Who buys the verified accounts?

Even though some of the professional digital design agency owners don’t prefer this type of verification, there are some who goes the extra mile and take this approach.

For example, John (pseudo name of my friend) shared with me that he got the verified account from some reference guy, now after three years, he is fully immersed in this business.

He sells accounts to everyone. From individuals to corporations with some price tag.

Here is how the verification usually takes place in the black market:

Step1: There is usually an employee from Instagram/Facebook who is willing to take a bribe or he is just a friend. He is first contacted.

Step2: The middleman receives cash from the person who wants to get their account verified. The split is done among the employee and the middleman.

Step3: The employee at Facebook/Instagram submits a verification request which is obviously treated as high priority.

Step4: Verification gets done and the user can avail all the features of a premium verified account.

For a celebrity, they can easily get the verified account just by applying via the forms mentioned above.

But for every other user, you need to have a lot of patience to get your account verified. One friend of mine, who owns a digital design agency purchased and dumped his verified account just because he thought it was all illegal to get the account and use in this manner.

After that, he applied for the verification of another account in the normal way and got verified within twenty days.

To conclude it all

Getting verified is surely important when it comes to the Facebook page or Instagram account. Whether you do it legally or illegally, in both cases you get to use the features of a premium verified account.

But as a marketer and a digital media strategist, I would never suggest going for the paid verification. Although you might get it all right. But there will always be that guilt in you. The bribe you paid to accelerate the process.

In the fourth quarter of the year 2012, Wal-Mart was generating 2.5 petabytes of data to around 1 million customers every hour. In the same year, Facebook managed to circulate 2.5 billion pieces of content, 2.7 billion likes, and 300 million photos upload each day. While most of the small businesses still don’t understand the power of Big Data, Branex AE managed to grab the attention of Neil Patel when we shared this detailed infographic on our blog.

Source:

http://neilpatel.com/blog/8-ways-create-instagram-campaign-will-blow-brand/

Here are five small things you can do to leverage your brand with Big Data:

1) Explore Trends on Google

No doubt Google is one huge Gorilla when it comes to Big Data. In their mission to organize world’s information in one place, it is now easy for everyone to access and use that information.

We all know Google search, but if you have started a business and willing to work for long term, you need to use Google Trends to search for latest trends and happenings in your field.

Let’s say I sell bananas. I can log into Google Trends and explore related terms by searching on a keyword (in this case “bananas”). Google will instantly scour its data banks and serve up results of the top related search terms. I discover that “bananas in pajamas” is being searched on a lot.

2) Monitor Social Media

You need to keep track of your brand on social media. What your competitors are offering and how can you offer a better version of it? Everyone has this opportunity to engage and make a difference. How we respond to that opportunity makes all the difference in the world.

Engage, respond, and solve a problem with Big Data. There are so many tools that you can use to get control of Big Data on social media. Tools like Adobe Marketing Cloud or Radian6. If not, a free tool like SocialMention.com is less comprehensive in terms of the results.

3) Measure your performance with a graph

Your personal social graph – the people you are connected to on social networks – is a powerful asset. If you’re smart about social, you probably have connections on LinkedIn and maybe, Facebook, who you want to build relationships with. Perhaps they are potential clients, press contacts, bloggers or other influential people who could be a benefit to your business.

Dig deep into Google Analytics and study the graphs. Look what people are liking, and what they are looking for.

4) Don’t Just Target. Retarget

Cookies are everywhere. Their ubiquity has led to a complete overhaul of how most online advertising is purchased. We used to buy sites, or groups of sites that we anticipated our target were likely to be hanging out on based on their demographic or psychographic profile. Today, more and more, we buy groups of individuals based on cookie data on a broad range of sites across the internet. There are dozens of companies that collect data on hundreds of millions of people and then sell it so you can enhance the targeting of your display advertising.

We live in a world increasingly driven by data. How your organization defines its data strategy and approach will decide how successful you will be as a business. Use these 4 ways to grow your startup business.

Now the choice is yours. You can either sit here or blame others for your failures or you can take that step forward. You can digitize your idea by starting with a website. Contact us and we will help you get that website ready for you.
